Dr. Ivan Tomek is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon (RCPSC) who has proudly called New England home since 2003. He completed advanced fellowship training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, (Weill Cornell Medicine), and previously completed his orthopedic surgery residency at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He is a recognized orthopedic subspecialist with extensive experience in anterior approach hip replacement. He has performed more than 3,000 hip replacement procedures since adopting and further refining the technique in 2010, making him one of the most experienced surgeons in the region using this approach.

Dr. Tomek has published and lectured extensively on topics including hip and knee replacement surgery and health care economics. He has also trained orthopedic surgeons nationally in both academic and private practice settings.
